Mission Statement
Inspired by Holocaust survivor Rose Beal’s message “never again is obsolete, never again is now” and our study of World War II, we, the students of Anser Junior High, feel compelled to promote human rights in our community. Human rights violations continue to occur throughout the world, and it is our obligation to bear witness. Being a bystander in today’s world is not an option. We want to pass on the knowledge and stories from older generations to younger generations, connecting their past with the present, and raising awareness while promoting human rights. No one can deny that youth have the power to change the world, to be the catalyst for change. We are taking on the challenge of promoting human rights because if one person can change the world, imagine what a group of committed teenagers can do. It is time to walk our walk, pass on our knowledge, inspire others, and take on the challenge of creating a world where all human rights are upheld.
